Glistening forge: Scroll of monster knowledge

I am really sorry for not posting in a long time.

Today I want to show you a new artifact for my expansion Glistening forge: the Scroll of monster knowledge.

Scroll of Monster Knowledge

This card is still to be tested and I think that I will modify it as I believe the card text is not so helpful.

The text says: "Choose a monster type. Gain +1 in attack against monsters of that type. ★ DISCARD CARD".

When the card says "type" I mean the monster's name. That means that a goblin and an orc will be of different type regardless of being goblinoids in D&D 3.5. Without this restriction, this card would be extremely powerful as goblins, hobgoblins, orcs and bugbears are considered to be goblinoids.

I really like the idea of a player throwing the special dice each time her character has to look at the Scroll of monster knowledge as the scroll seems to be really ancient and could get distroyed in the middle of a battle.

What do you think about it? Do you like it? Do you have some critics?
